Drawing from Eastern cultures, Plis rethinks the rug as a living space that goes beyond the object, inviting users to embrace “floor culture”. The abstract graphics on the carpet evoke the three possible configurations that can be obtained by placing the Corian elements beneath the surface, encouraging the community and social interaction that is vital to that lifestyle.
